I never read this story before. My exposure to it came from Mickey's Christmas Carol, or otherwise remembered as, "the Scrooge McDuck one." And even now, I consider this to be the quintessential visual version. However, upon loading up my Speechify app, I noticed that they too now have a book store and they were also giving away free books too.
I decided to start reading the original story. Needless to say, I think I found a new appreciation for this tale. It's definitely that has aged quite well and honestly, it's a story that most people alive today and residing within the United States of America should revisit. For this story tells the tale of the costs of putting one's own corporate greed over that of their cherished loved ones.
I just finished Stave I and the ultimate fate of Jacob Marley is perhaps the most well-thought up and most beautiful punishments for a soul I ever watched or read.
I highly recommend revisiting this classic literature.
